I’ve been looking for a low-heel, wide calf black suede boot for a few years. These look great and are very comfortable! I’ve also received lots of compliments. So why the four star rating? As someone with a high instep, the zipper in the middle makes them a bit difficult to put on to where I’m wiggling my feet to get them on. I tried to wear thin cotton socks and couldn’t get my feet into the boot. I don’t have that issue if I’m wearing tights or choose not to wear anything on my feet.
To the SE design team, please put a full length zipper on this boot for next year. I’m not understanding why boot manufacturers are going with the middle zipper trend.

Size and fit great. Nice leather boot very classy looking. Wish the side zipper went up higher. They are a little difficult to pull on.

Nice, flat, and comfortable. Pairs nicely with a polo sweater dress or with pants.

Color was accurate- a very rich chocolate brown. The shaft is perfectly comfortable and wide as promised without looking too wide. The length seemed a bit long. Comfortable but no arch support or padding in the footbed. Definitely keeping as it is impossible to find boots that fit athletic calves. These are great!

These boots are gorgeous, and I love the brown suede. The wide calf is very wide, and it widens the most at the very tip, which looks strange on me. I love the aesthetic, sole padding, and square toe, however the fit was off for me. I have a wide toe area, high arches, and a narrow heel and have the hardest time finding shoes. My heel slipped up in these even with a heel cushion added, and the toe box was too narrow. 🙁

These are great boots. They fit my wider runners calf size and looked very sleek. I ended up sending them back because I had an emotional crisis over the number of boots I own, but the boots were not to blame.

This is a beautiful boot, but the narrow toe area with a square toe design is uncomfortable. I usually wear a 39/8.5, and these were too tight and flat. There is also no arch support.

Quality suede shin panel and foot, with a brown elastic panel in the back which provides room in the calf area. The chocolate brown hue with gold hardware is divine.
