I bought these a few months ago and am so excited to finally wear them! They’re super comfortable and a perfect combination of edgy with the chunky sole, but still classic with a more form-fitting shaft and narrow toe box. I ordered them a 1/2 size up (9.5) for room with thicker socks as it gets colder. So happy I bought these!

I was super excited to get these because they were listed as waterproof and I tend to muck up my boots in the fall/winter. First time I wore these I was just walking around in the grass and it wasn’t raining and it left a dark stain where the sole and the shoe meet. I hope it dries out and doesn’t leave a permanent stain, because these are clearly not 100% waterproof.

Beautiful chunky Chelsea boot , but not too chunky. I got the black suede which I love. The toe box is a tad narrow, but I think it will be fine for me. I have a small bunion on left foot but seems to be okay after several hours of wear. I am a 7 in shoes, 7,5 in running shoes, and 6 1/2 in many sandals—a 7.5 in this boot worked for me.

These boots are beautiful and comfortable, they are a little narrow but I didn’t mind. These boots have looked great with every outfit so far! I think the only issue I have is that the shaft is a little tight, it’s annoying getting my feet into the boots (today I wore leggings and I had to fold them a certain way to get them tucked in without showing wrinkles in the boot) – which is why I’m giving them a 4 instead of a 5. But I still LOVE these boots. If they didn’t take the extra 30-60 seconds to put on, I’d definitely give 5 stars lol.

Just got these in the mail last night, I got the sesame color. I wore them today and noticed I had a few scuffs already so I started wiping them off with a damp paper towel. I rubbed one spot and noticed the color of the shoe was coming off… so I’m guessing the shoes are painted to be this color. Seems kind of cheap considering the cost of the boots, I expected higher quality.

Ordered a half size up, though my feet are ‘growing’ with age. Knew I’d wear these on plane and they were perfect for that. Easy on/easy off. Love the look. A lot less heavy than my usual Doc Martens. That they are waterproof is a bonus I didn’t expect. My only complaint is the top edge of the shaft isn’t comfortable against a bare leg if you’re doing any kind of walking. That is, you need to wear a sock slightly higher than the boot to prevent it wearing on your skin.

The length and width seemed fine but the shaft was too tight from the ankle on up. Plus the shaft is high enough that I think a zipper was warranted – I’ve never had a harder time taking off booties as I did with these. It’s a shame cuz they are pretty.

I wear a true 9, I tried these on in store and I am glad I did, I ordered an 8.5 and they are perfect to wear with thin- medium socks. My feet would have slipped the heel in the 9. I guess if you wants heavy thick socks then go true to size but thats too warm for fall for me

These boots are my first Sam Edelman shoes and I’m incredibly impressed by the style, quality, comfort, and functionality. The leather on the boots is nice and smooth, the sole is sturdy/thick—I love the platform, and the stretchy sides of the shoe are also very well made. To me, these boots are worth every penny—definitely buy them!!! (The leather is not as “yellow” as it appears in the images provided by Zappos)

I have very high arch and it’s hard to find a well fitting shoe.
These booties are super comfortable.
I am wearing them to work two days in a row now and don’t have any aches or discomforts.
The toe box is nice and roomy.
Wearing with thin wool socks.

I absoutely Love these boots. Get so many compliments about about the second time I worse them the toe fabric started flaking and peeling off. It got worse each time I wore Them. Not sure if it’s a bad batch or what but returned and got another pair. Hoping they hold up better. Thankful for Zappos amazing return policy otherwise will would have been really disappointed.

Writing this review after a few months of continuous wear (September-now). They’re SUPER cute and versatile, but after less than a year after a rainy day I noticed the rubber soles at the bottom are beginning to crack at the natural crease line where your foot bends and let in the elements. I live in NYC so the sidewalks can be a little rough, but that’s also why I invested in what I thought would be a better quality shoe. Disappointed, otherwise these would be my favorite boots as they’re chic and comfortable, but I will say this isn’t the first pair of Sam Edelmans I’ve owned that wear down quickly. Let’s hope that some shoe goo can save em

I love these boots! I wore these boots for about two months when issues started. To begin the leather on the toes has completely peeled off reviewing a raw underneath leather. Additionally the heels have completely cracked and the rubber on the shoe is now ruined. Now when wearing these shoes the heels puff out air. These shoes went from being an every day staple to being completely unwearable within three months. I find this to be disappointing for the cost of the shoe. I did not wear the shoes outside of normal wear.

I have two pairs of these boots, both black – one in suede and one in leather. Based on reviews, I sized up half a size (7.5 normally) to an 8.0 and these are perfect, allowing for a bit of room for thicker socks. You will most likely need to break in these shoes, I would suggest double layering socks and wearing them an hour or two at a time to stretch the shoe. When I first tried them on, they were very tight – especially the leather pair! After a couple of days, they will stretch (not a lot, but will be more comfortable when you put your foot in versus the first time).
I bought them specifically for NYC, to wear when I visited in the fall/winter time. Since the first pair, I’ve moved to the city and wanted the leather pair to add to my collection. These are great, chunky boots that protect your feet and make you look like a boss! I have had no issues with the shoes, the quality has been great and they hold up very well in all sorts of weather conditions, from rainy to ice cold.

Bought these in black for NYC winter last year. They do what they say they will- keep your feet warm and dry. Not a heavy feel but made well & quite chic. My fave Chelsea boot.
I have a wider foot but these weren’t too tight on me nor was the break in period long at all, maybe two wears or so.

Comfy, classy looking boot. I got 9 which is my usual size but got a Wide width so I can wear thick socks. Very roomy and comfy but just a tad heavy, nothing one can’t get used to.

These shoes are so comfortable and you don’t need to break them in. I bought them in 2 colors and walked all over Paris and a few other places while I was on vacation. So cute and you can dress them up or dress them down. The only suggestion is making the pull strap bigger to fit your finger in to pull them up but they are easy and flexible enough to pull them on.

Size up a half size! I ordered a 7 and 7.5 to try on and the toe box in the 7 felt tight but not unbearable. But after walking around in the 7.5, I decided to go with it. I’m so glad I did because my toes feel better in the front. Also the entire shoe just fits more comfortably. I wear the boots with Bombas socks so not super thick but quality socks.
Also, if you are still on the fence or the half size up fits everywhere but the toes (maybe you have a bunion), you can take the shoes to your local cobbler and that can stretch out that area a bit!

I LOVED this boot, it looked great but after 3 uses, the side of the boot cracked. They were super comfortable, just not worth the price since they don’t hold up.

I love these boots so much, but they do not last. I’ve purchased them twice and both times the bottom of the sole has split, which obviously makes these no longer waterproof. I thought the first time could have been a one time manufacture defect but after a second time, it’s just the quality of the soles being used. It’s a shame because I really love the fit but I cannot justify buying them for the third time.
Please upgrade whatever you are using to make the rubber soles.

I have a wide foot with a high arch and instep, so I generally cannot get boots on my feet. I wear either a 6 or 6 1/2 W, and bought the 6 1/2 W in this boot. The width is great, but it is too long for me. However, I can wear a thick sock and that has helped with the overall fit. The boot is beautiful so I am keeping it.

These boots are made for flat, wide feet! I have high arches and somewhat narrow feet. I barely could slide my feet into these boots with my high instep, and once inside, my heel moved around a lot since the boots were very wide in the heel. Returning.
